About the Company
Community Bank servicing local communities in eastern Will County and beyond. Existing wealth management department is structured as a team with ~$80mm assets under management. Investment Advisor is a leadership role that works with other senior bank management providing a key service to the customer base.
Position Overview/Summary
The Investment Advisor/Wealth Manager at First Community Bank and Trust is responsible for providing investment guidance for businesses and individuals, expected to provide sound advice and analysis on a variety of investments, including individual equities and fixed income instruments, managed accounts and insurance products, among others.
The role of Investment Advisor/Wealth Manager is highly entrepreneurial and involves extensive client management and development, new client prospecting and financial consultancy.
The role is responsible for building and maintaining long-term relationships with a portfolio of financially successful clients. As the external face of First Community Bank and Trust, the Investment Advisor/Wealth Manager is expected to work closely with key firm personnel to provide a superior client experience across the full spectrum of the client's financial life.
Position Responsibilities
> Assess financial and wealth management needs of client base
> Provide individuals with tailored wealth and investment solutions, with the goal of growing and sustaining long-term returns as well as long-term firm relationships
> Develop customized wealth management plan to address each client's outlined goals and implement the plan with suitable products and services
> Provide client advice on a wide range of personal and business-related financial risk and wealth management topics
> Meet with clients on a regular basis to review portfolio performance and to uncover unmet personal and business financial needs
> Provide regular reporting and updates and information to clients and senior management
> Take lead role in segmenting client book of business based on firm-specific criteria
> Present principles of financial portfolio construction and management, asset allocation, wealth planning and wealth distribution to clients and prospects
> Nurture and maintain strong relationships with clients, helping them to track their progress over time while providing ongoing consultation and support
> Generate new firm clients through a range of business building programs including conducting seminars, using personal contacts and leveraging centers of influence
Qualifications
> 2-10 years of experience creating and monitoring investment portfolios based on individual client needs, objectives and risk tolerance preferred
> Demonstrated successful track record in researching investment opportunities to identify the right strategies to meet client wealth goals
> Experience assessing and making recommendations on the following: Retirement planning, estate planning, tax planning, insurance and other personal finance issues
> Passionate about client service; relationship driven, trusted advisor
> Entrepreneurial spirit
> Very strong technical financial planning expertise balanced by the ability to translate into terms that are clear to clients with varying degrees of investment knowledge
> Able to work independently with strong drive in a competitive environment
