During the final week of September, six hundred community bankers from across Illinois met in St. Louis, Missouri for CBAI’s 44thAnnual Convention and Expo. First Community Bank and Trust’s Commercial Loan Officer, Cameron Ohlendorf and Vice President, Steve Koehn attended the conference. “The conference is a great way to keep in touch with friends and colleagues from other banks as well as learn about new opportunities or products that could be valuable to our customers in the future” said Ohlendorf.
The three-day event included a golf outing, dinner and auction to raise money for Community Banking legislative issues and two days of educational sessions covering everything from tax topics to marketing initiatives. Attendees also had the chance to meet in the Exhibition hall to view new products and services, meet current vendors and network and brainstorm with their colleagues. Koehn commented “CBAI has again put on a nice conference for the bankers of Illinois. The breakout sessions were on timely topics and offered useful information. The Exhibition Center was an excellent place to learn about new technologies and catch up with current vendors, and the dinners and silent auction were great opportunities to have some fun and catch up with banker friends from all corners of Illinois. I look forward to the next conference and what it offers.”
